Darcy’s ex-girlfriend Miranda gets a taste of her own medicine in this EMP short story. As the lights go out and buildings crumble, Miranda runs home to find her partner has another woman, Lara, in the apartment. Worse than his insistence she’s just a work colleague, is the fact he’d rather avoid them both than admit the obvious.
Being left alone in her apartment, with a woman she can’t stand, is just the beginning of her nightmare. With armed men roaming the streets and more stairs than she wants to climb, Miranda will have to do some serious self reflection if she wants to survive the night.
