About Addison

About Me + My First Book

Addison Night is an Australian apocalypse / survival author.
Addison is an Australian author who loves to imagine how she’d do in the apocalyptic shows she sees in TV and reads in books.
I can’t be the only one who does that, while simultaneously hoping never to live through it in real life.

But that’s what books are for.

TV is great, but its a lot harder to imagine yourself as the main character when that character is being played by a gorgeous actress.

My first book is about an EMP strike that hits the city of Boston, named ‘Away from Harm‘. Here’s a little overview:
Away from Harm is first book in an EMP survival series with realistic characters who are forced into an extraordinary situation. It’s a story of survival, resilience and second chances.

Emma:
Emma knew that leaving her increasingly dangerous husband would be the hardest thing she’s ever done. She would wait for him to leave for work, then pack her and her daughter’s things and drive to the women’s shelter where they’d finally be safe from him.

What she didn’t expect was that an electro magnetic pulse (EMP) would take out all the power in the city on that very morning. Cars come to a crashing holt in the streets, including his, and everything electronic ceases to work. As she’s packing their suitcases, he’s on his way back home. Now she’s now going to have to face a bigger challenge than she ever imagined.

Emma will have to draw on strength she didn’t know she had if she wants to survive the carnage… and what comes after.
Away From Harm, Book #1 in a character driven EMP series

Darcy’s ex-girlfriend Miranda gets a taste of her own medicine in this EMP short story. As the lights go out and buildings crumble, Miranda runs home to find her partner has another woman, Lara, in the apartment. Worse than his insistence she’s just a work colleague, is the fact he’d rather avoid them both than admit the obvious.

Being left alone in her apartment with a woman she can’t stand, is just the beginning of her nightmare. With armed men roaming the streets and more stairs than she wants to climb, Miranda will have to do some serious self-reflection if she wants to survive the night.
